Two women arrested in Sandwell as part of County Lines investigation
Two women were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a County Lines drugs line.
West Midlands Police confirmed that Rhona Fry and Ansheleena Hamilton had both been arrested after warrants were carried out on addresses in Wednesbury, Balsall Heath and Great Barr on Monday.
The force said that large amounts of Class A and B drugs were recovered alongside cash, drug paraphernalia, and a machete, and both Fry and Hamilton had been charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Two women have been charged after our County Lines Taskforce seized a large quantity of drugs and a machete following a series of warrants.
"The team carried out three warrants in the Wednesbury, Balsall Heath, and Great Barr areas yesterday (December 22), as part of an ongoing investigation into a drugs line.
"A large amount of Class A and B drugs were recovered alongside cash, drug paraphernalia, and a machete.
"Following further searches, we seized more cash, phones, and a large quantity of designer clothing.
"Rhona Fry, 27, and Ansheleena Hamilton, 38, were both arrested and have since been charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
"Both are due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates today (December 23).
