Woman hurt in Wolverhampton hit-and-run - police hunting driver

Police have appealed for information following a hit-and-run in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Police have appealed for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Wolverhampton on Saturday night.

The incident took place at around 8.40pm, and a red Seat Ibiza collided with another car before hitting a woman on the pavement.

The driver fled the scene and was last seen running along Upper Villiers Street.

A woman in her 50s remains in stable condition in hospital.

West Midlands Police have said that enquiries to trace the driver are ongoing, with officers appealing for anyone who was in the area, or has dash-cam footage, to get in touch.

A force spokesperson said: "Information can be given via our website via Live Chat or by calling 101, quoting log 4373 of 20 December. 

"Information can also be given to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
