West Bromwich drug dealer caught with more than a kilogram of cocaine minutes after picking it up is jailed
A drug dealer caught with £60,000 worth of cocaine in West Bromwich seven minutes after picking it up had agreed to deliver his illegal cargo for "a drink".
Kavanveer Pahal has been jailed for four and a half years after pleading guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court to possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
Pahal, 26, was surrounded by unmarked police cars when he pulled his Mitsubishi into an ESSO garage in West Bromwich High Street on October 24 this year.
In a short-lived escape attempt Pahal, of Salisbury Road, West Bromwich rammed one of the police cars which had boxed him in, but he was arrested.

Prosecutor Samuel Leach told the court: "Police had been acting on information received about the defendant and his involvement in the sale of class A drugs.
