West Midlands Police said that Guo was stopped by patrolling officers while she was driving a vehicle in October this year.

Upon a search of the vehicle, officers found that the 34-year-old was driving with people who were not family members, putting her in breach of a slavery prevention order issued earlier this year.

The order restricted Guo from travelling in a car with anyone she was not related to, preventing her from trafficking people.

Appearing at Birmingham Magistrates Court on December 3, Guo pleaded guilty to the offences, and she was later jailed for 20 weeks.

A force spokesperson said: "Our teams in Birmingham are keeping up the pressure on serious and organised crime.

"Gangs and criminal organisations often traffic vulnerable people to Britain, where they put them to work in brothels or semi-legitimate businesses like nail salons and massage parlours.

"Thanks to the information we receive from the public, as well as intelligence gathered by officers, we have secured some excellent results in the last few months."
