'We may have to turn families away if we have no seats': Ticket fraudsters target Santa Train events at Chasewater Railway
The Chasewater Railway has been targeted by ticket frauds selling fake tickets for its 'Santa Train'.
The Chasewater Light Railway and Museum Company says it has 'become clear' that an online ticket reseller is selling fake tickets for the railway's Santa train events, after numerous families arrived for the festive experience at the railway.
The railway has circulated by social media a notice for visitors to check their tickets to see if they are genuine as most trains are now fully booked.

An image of the fake tickets has been released. If you have purchased one of these tickets you are advised to report it to your bank as fraud, and not to attend the railway.
A Chasewater Light Railway and Museum Company trustee said: "No one at the railway wants to spoil Christmas and so far we have accommodated the families who have arrived to see Santa, but this fraud has an impact on them and the railway which is a charity and its income from the Santa trains carries it through the closed season until Easter.
"We may have to turn families away if we have no seats. The railway has contacted police over the matter and have advised anyone with the fake tickets to contact their banks and the ticket sellers for a refund."
