Drugs, knives and baton confiscated from van as five arrested following M6 service station sting

Drugs, knives and a baton were confiscated from a stolen Renault Traffic van on the M6 last night.

West Midlands Police's C Unit ANPR Interceptors spotted the stolen van displaying fake plates on the motorway.

Officers used pre-emptive tactics to stop it at a nearby service station, where all five occupants were detained and arrested.

A quantity of drugs, knives and a baton were also recovered from the vehicle by police.
