Three men found guilty over Wolverhampton scam selling millions of fake prescription drugs across the country
Three men have been found guilty and one not guilty in a retrial over a Wolverhampton prescription drug ring which shifted millions of fake pills across the country during a Covid lockdown.
The group hoodwinked online consumers pretending to stock real sleeping pills, erectile dysfunction pills, anti-anxiety tablets and other medication either fake or bought from abroad without proper checks by UK health agencies.
After a previous trial collapsed earlier this year the four men from Wolverhampton and Willenhall were back in the dock at Wolverhampton Crown Court facing conspiracy charges for the online sale of drugs including zopiclone, codeine, clonazepam, lorazepam and pregabalin.
Everton Reynolds, aged 57, of Milford Avenue, Willenhall; Paul Billingham, 55, of Wolverhampton Road West, Willenhall and Junior Ranger, 43, of Cartwright Road, Wolverhampton, were found guilty after the five-week trial.
Andrew Nicholls, 53, from Oaks Crescent, Wolverhampton, was cleared.
