Police were called at 2am on February 22 this year to the Bentley Bridge McDonald's car park in Wednesfield after Leon Carter appeared intoxicated when staff delivered his food.

When police arrived Carter, 29, was asleep and when asked by the PC to open the door he eventually unlocked it. When the officer put handcuff on him he tried to run which led to an injury to one of the PC's hands.

A second bid to escape was stopped by the police officer who wrestled him to the ground, handcuffed him and finally read him his rights.

In his car were 19 bags of cannabis, £880 in Sterling, £40 in foreign currency and three bags of cocaine.
