11 of the West Midlands' worst criminals who were locked up in November including modern day slavery, drug dealing and dangerous driving
November has seen several serious offenders put behind bars for their crimes against the people of the West Midlands.
Last month saw people from across the region sent to prison for their crimes, which included attempted murder, rape, human trafficking and vehicle theft.
See below our list of 11 offenders who were sent down in the West Midlands in November.
1 & 2) Luigi Cucu and Costela Soare

Smethwick couple Luigi Cucu and Costela Soare were jailed on November 21 for their roles in human trafficking and the exploitation and abuse of 14 women.
A West Midlands Police investigation was launched into the pair after officers acted on intelligence that women were being advertised online for the purpose of prostitution.
It was later found that 14 women had been victims of the couple's crimes between January 2018 and March 2023, which included sexual exploitation for gain, verbal and physical abuse, and one woman being so severely malnourished that her bones were seen protruding through her skin.
Cucu, aged 46, was jailed for nine years and seven months, whilst Soare, aged 37, was jailed for three years and two months.
3) Gurwinder Singh

Gurwinder Singh, aged 36, was jailed for 30 years after physically and psychologically abusing a woman.
Singh, from Walsall, began his campaign of abuse against the woman by verbally insulting and degrading her, then he began to physically assault and stalk her.
In May 2024 he attempted to murder the woman, stabbing her several times, before proceeding to rape her.
Singh was found guilty of a number of offences, including attempted murder and rape.
