Operation Skybridge has been deployed across Erdington and Stockland Green, with the proactive crime team focussed on tackling issues like vehicle crime, drug crime, and burglary.

The team have also been out engaging with the community including two councillors, whilst also delivering a presentation to a sixth form class.

On Tuesday, Sargent Danny Fulford met with two local councillors where they discussed the policing operation, provided reassurance and listened to the community concerns.

This provided the Skybridge team with the opportunity to share about the work that the team carries out in the area alongside the neighbourhood teams, and highlight the community feedback that has been received.

On the same day, the team also attended High Clare Senior School to deliver a talk to the sixth form college, with the students given a presentation on West Midlands Police and frontline operational policing.

Following this, officers walked students through a real Skybridge incident, step by step, getting them to engage and suggest ideas for initial actions and evidence gathering opportunities.

On Monday, the Skybridge team also carried out an operation alongside the National Crime Agency in Alum Rock, with the team carrying out patrols in the area and seizing multiple vehicles for offences such as no insurance, no tax, and one van found to be stolen.
