Walsall murder trial: Jury shown catalyst of violence which ended with Mohammed Khan left for dead on busy Walsall street

A jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court has been shown the catalyst of the violence which led up to the killing of Mohammed Khan in a busy Walsall street.

After being shown mobile phone footage of Mohammed Khan being stabbed, stomped and left for dead on the pavement , yesterday, the jury watched CCTV collected by West Midlands Police.

Detective Constable Adrian Guglielmoni, of West Midlands Police, gave evidence at Wolverhampton Crown Court to outline the sequence of events which started with Mr Khan attacking one of the five men on trial for murder.

He said: "We have recovered relevant footage from Ring door bell cameras."

Mohammed Khan, 22, died on Monday, March 17, hours after being attacked by five Walsall men.

At Wolverhampton Crown Court the five week trial of five men accused of murdering him began with the prosecution showing graphic footage of the fatal beating taken by motorists and residents as it was happening.

Zain Raja, 22 and of Harden Road, Walsall; Asad Iftakhar, 33 and of Bloxwich Road, Walsall; Hassan Iftakhar, 33 and of Bloxwich Road; Amaan Khan, 21 and of Harden Road; and Iftakhar Ahmed, 52 and of Bloxwich Road, are charged with murder.
