Accused in Willenhall shooting case denies knowing gun was going to be fired in street

A man who allegedly gave a lift to his co-defendant in a firearms trial was paid £10 petrol money for the trip to Willenhall.

James Gray, aged 27, and Sharif Cousins, aged 49, are standing trial on possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life charges relating to an incident where a gun was discharged in Princethorpe Road off Bilston Lane in Willenhall on May 26. 

On Monday (November 24) prosecutor Mr Peter Arnold took the jury at Birmingham Crown Court through Gray's police interview following his arrest.
