Two people charged with drugs offences over supply of 'Monkey Dust' in Stafford

Two people have appeared in court after being charged with drugs and weapons charges.

Staffordshire Police said Steven Dawkins and Kirsty Rigby had appeared at Newcastle Magistrates Court on Monday (November 24) to face charges of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs (synthetic 'Monkey Dust') and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.

They are both set to appear next at Cannock Magistrates Court in January.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Two people have appeared in court charged with drug offences relating to the supply of monkey dust in Stafford.

"Steven Dawkins, aged 34, and Kirsty Rigby, 37, both of Stafford, have been charged with being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

"They appeared before magistrates at Newcastle Magistrates Court on Monday.

"Dawkins was remanded into custody and Rigby was placed on conditional bail ahead of a hearing due at Cannock Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 13."
