Police seize over £200,000 of cash and large amounts of crack cocaine and heroin in Birmingham drugs bust
West Midlands Police have seized over £200,000 in cash along with large amounts of drugs following warrants.
Officers from West Midlands Police's County Lines Taskforce carried out warrants across multiple addresses in Erdington on Thursday, November 20 morning.
Following searches in the addresses, officers arrested five men on suspicion of being concerned in supply class A drugs – crack cocaine and heroin.

Further searches were carried out and over £200,000 in cash was seized, along with a quantity of Class A drugs.
All five men remain in custody for questioning.
Detective Sergeant Craig Tennant, from the County Lines Taskforce, said: “We acted on information in connection to a Class A drugs line which we understand has been operating across Birmingham East (Erdington)and Birmingham South (Northfield).
"County Lines networks cause misery within our communities as drugs not only ruin lives but also fuel other crime. We’re continually working alongside other departments and teams within local policing areas to bring down drug lines throughout the West Midlands."
