Officers carried out a warrant in Moat Road under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Tuesday morning and, inside the premises, they found an extensive cannabis farm with plants and equipment spread across several rooms.

A large amount of plants were seized and two men in their 30s were arrested.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Cannabis farms can have a real impact on the areas they are set up in.

"As well as the associated crime and anti-social behaviour that comes with them, they can also be the cause of catastrophic fires, putting people's lives at risk in the surrounding properties.

"The warrant is another excellent piece of disruption work as we continue to target suspected drug dealing and the people and addresses linked to it.

"Operations like this one make a real difference to the community and are made possible through the information we receive from the public telling us about suspicious activity.

"These reports, as well as our own intelligence gathering, help us plan warrants and proactive operations to take drugs off the streets.

"If you see anything suspicious where you live, let us know via 101."
