Employee run down by wagon in Wolverhampton suffers from PTSD after fractures to skull, cheekbone, collarbone, ribs and sternum, jury told
An employee who was run over by a wagon at the yard of Wolverhampton company Jack Moody Landscaping and Civil Engineering Ltd has described the horrific injuries he suffered during the industrial accident.
Jack Moody Landscaping and Civil Engineering, of Holybush Farm, Warstones Lane, is on trial charged with breaching its duty towards an employee's safety after an industrial accident eight years ago.
On the second day of the 10-day trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court, sitting at Telford Magistrates Court, the jury yesterday (Tuesday) heard details of the injuries sustained by the employee after being mown down by a truck.
Paul Martin, who worked for the company for 33 years, was nursery director at the time of the accident, earning £2,700 a month.
Mr Martin told the jury he had "no recollection of the afternoon" when he was run over by a flatbed truck in the company's Shareshill complex on Friday September 22, 2017.
