Plea for public help after £3,000 stolen from elderly man in Dudley

An appeal has been launched to identify three men police want to speak to after a pensioner had £3,000 stolen from his car.

West Midlands Police has released an image of three men it said it wants to identify after the money was taken from the car of a 90-year-old man on October 20 near Stone Square in Dudley.

The force has asked for anyone with any information to get in touch as soon as possible.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’re asking for the public’s help to identify three men after a 90-year-old man had £3,000 stolen from his car.

"The victim had just withdrawn the money, and placed the cash along with other documents, into the boot of his car on Stone Street, Dudley, at around 10.20am on October 20.

"CCTV footage shows three men in the area following the victim. One man approaches the car, opens the boot and takes the money as the victim is getting into the driver’s seat.

"We’d like to speak with each of the men in the images so if you recognise them or have any information that could help our officers investigating, please get in touch with us.
