A man has been arrested following a serious collision in Oldbury that left a woman in hospital with serious injuries.

West Midlands Police were called after a vehicle struck a pedestrian near the junction of Wolverhampton Road and Albert Road at just after 6.30am today.

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, and a man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

A road closure remains in place while police carry out enquiries to establish exactly what happened.
