Suspected shop thief charged after £400 worth of confectionery stolen from Wolverhampton supermarket

A suspected shop thief is due in court after he was arrested over four thefts in less than two weeks.

The 20-year-old was spotted by Wolverhampton city centre officers in Tower Street at around 8.30am on Thursday, October 23 and detained.

His arrest follows four thefts since October 13 at one of Wolverhampton's supermarkets which saw confectionery worth around £400 being taken from the shelves.

Police said the man is due in court today.
Police said the man had been arrested.

James Cash has been charged with four shop thefts and after being held in police custody overnight is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday, October 24.
