Birmingham man charged after handgun and ammunition seized
A man from Birmingham has been charged with firearms offences after a warrant was carried out in the city.
Reece Allamby was charged with possession of a firearm after he was arrested yesterday (Monday).
Allamby, aged 27, appeared before magistrates in Birmingham today (Tuesday) and has been remanded in custody.
Officers from West Midlands Police's Crime Unit carried out searches at a property in Bartley Green yesterday (Monday) and seized a handgun and several rounds of ammunition.
A force spokesperson said: "All across the West Midlands, we are keeping up our efforts to tackle serious and organised crime under Operation Target.
"This operation targets everything from firearms and drugs to human trafficking and other organised crime."
