Man arrested for disorderly behaviour and racial abuse at Wolverhampton shopping centre
A man has been arrested for disorderly behaviour and racial abuse at a shopping centre in Wolverhampton.
On Friday evening Wednesfield and Heath Town Police team responded to reports of the man behaving badly.
The unit confirmed they had arrested the man in a social media post last night (Saturday).
The team tweeted: "Yesterday evening, your local neighbourhood team arrested a male for disorderly behaviour and racial abuse at a shopping centre in Heath Town.
"The male was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing."
The team has already had an eventful month after being seconded to grassland in Ashmore Park where there have been reports of off-road bikers ruining the beauty spot for families.

And on October 8, officers from the unit saved a stricken baby who was accidentally locked inside a car.
The unit tweeted: "Our officers were waved down on Bentley Bridge to assist where a baby was accidentally locked inside a car due to the keys being dropped inside. Lots of help from site security & shop staff (supplying wires and hooks) The car was eventually opened safely. The baby was fine."
