Second man charged with 'conspiracy to pervert the course of justice' after series of hoax calls made to police
A second man has been charged in connection with an investigation into dozens of hoax calls made to West Midlands Police.

Zaynul Shaffi, aged 43, was arrested on Saturday, October 4 and charged on Monday, October 6 with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice between February and October this year. He will appear before city magistrates on Tuesday, October 7.

It follows a series of dozens of hoax calls made to the West Midlands Police force in recent months.
A second man, Shahid Khan, aged 30, appeared in court last week charged with perverting the course of justice. He will appear before the city’s crown court on October 31.
