The collision between an Audi A4 and a Vauxhall Meriva took place on Stratford Road at the junction of Ladypool Road at around 11.50pm on Friday, August 1 on Stratford Road in Birmingham

A 22-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Vauxhall Meriva, was taken to hospital but later died, but Crimestoppers said it still needs to identify the two other occupants of the Vauxhall Meriva, including the driver and is appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Information can be given to Crimestoppers completely anonymously and could be vital in securing justice and answers for this man’s family.

Alan Edwards, Crimestoppers West Midlands regional manager, said: "This was a devastating collision that has left a family grieving and a community in shock.

"We know that speaking up is not always easy, especially when fear or loyalty gets in the way.

"That’s why we guarantee anonymity, no names, no trace, no comeback. If you know something, please contact us.

“Crimestoppers is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We cannot trace your call or track your IP address. No one will ever know you contacted us.

"This means no police, no courts, no witness statements. You may think your information is insignificant, however it could make all the difference.”

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from the West Midlands Police Serious Collision Investigation Team said: “Information can be given to Crimestoppers anonymously, tell them what you know, not who you are.

“We need answers for the family and friends of this man. If you have any information, please do the right thing and come forward.”

Crimestoppers guarantees complete anonymity, no personal details are ever recorded or shared. Speak up, stay safe. Make a difference.

To be eligible for the reward, information must be provided directly to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting crimestoppers-uk.org. Only information given to the charity, not police, will qualify.
