Ambulance service issues statement after woman dies in Wolverhampton and man is arrested on suspicion of murder
An injured man was found at a house in Wolverhampton where a woman who was also found hurt by paramedics later died.
The two injured people including the woman, aged in her 30s, were discovered by paramedics at a property in Finchfield Road, Finchfield on September 29 and the incident resulted in a murder investigation being launched.
The dead woman has not yet been named.
In a statement West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an incident on Finchfield Road at 8.20pm, one ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

"On arrival ambulance crews discovered two patients. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save one of them, a woman, and she was confirmed dead at the scene. A man was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to hospital."
Since then detectives from West Midlands Police have arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder and inquiries are continuing in the community. The force said it was not looking for anyone else in connection with the murder inquiry.
