Supply teacher arrested at Dudley special school for possessing indecent images never returned, says headteacher
A Dudley special school where a supply teacher was arrested for possessing indecent images of children confirmed he did not return to the school.
Benjamin Woodvine, 32, was this week sentenced to a community order for six counts of possessing indecent images of children.
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard that after indecent images were uploaded to the internet, Woodvine's Tipton house was raided where police found paperwork revealing he was working at Sutton Special School, Dudley.
They went to the school and arrested him on the premises, seizing his phone. The indecent images were not connected with children in his care during his time as a supply teacher.
Ian Curnow, headteacher at Sutton School, told the Express & Star that Woodvine was not allowed back to the school.
He said: “Mr Woodvine was employed at the school for a short period of time during the summer term of 2024.
