Axe possession charge for Dudley man after Willenhall fight allegation

A Dudley man is due to appear before magistrates to face offences relating to an axe allegedly being found in a car during an incident in Willenhall.

 Liam Newey, aged 25, is due at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday(19).

He is charged with an incident of affray as well as possessing an offensive weapon in the town on September 16.

West Midlands Police said the matter relates to an incident in High Road, in Lane Head, Willenhall, shortly after 2pm on Tuesday when a fight allegedly broke out and police officers recovered an axe from a car.
