Suspected car thief arrested in Stourbridge after police pursuit and crash
A driver spotted with a stolen car in Stourbridge was arrested after it crashed after a police pursuit.
West Midlands Police Road Crime Team carried out the arrest after officers saw the car which had been reported missing after a car key burglary.
The person at the wheel attempted to flee in the vehicle which crashed and then they tried to flee on foot, but was caught.
The officers said they also recovered a head covering at the scene.
@Trafficwmp posted on X: "Officers saw this car in Stourbridge after it had been stolen in a car key burglary.
"It made off at speed and crashed following a brief pursuit before one occupant was arrested following a foot chase and good forensic opportunities were left behind to ID the driver."
