Second teenager arrested after boy stabbed in Stourport
Police have arrested a second teenager in connection with the stabbing of a boy in Stourport.
A 17-year-old boy suffered stab wounds at a carnival event at Severn Meadows in the town at around 9pm on Saturday (September 6).
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Another 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is now on bail. Now a second 17-year-old has been arrested, on suspicion of assault.
Detective Constable Dan Pickford from West Mercia Police said: “Following our initial enquiries into the incident in Stourport on Saturday, we have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of assault.
“We are no longer looking for any other suspects, but we do continue to appeal to members of the public who saw what happened or for anyone with information that would help with our enquiries, to please get in touch."
