29-year-old man pleads not guilty to causing injuries to passengers in Wednesbury crash
A 29-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to causing serious injuries to a passenger when a car crashed into street furniture in a Wednesbury street.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court on Wednesday (September 3) the accused Ashley Jones, of West Bromwich, denied offences of causing serious injuries by dangerous driving to Leyton Fletcher and causing injuries by dangerous driving to Anthony Day on November 3 last year.
The incident related to a collision in Woden Road South involving a white Audi which overturned shortly before 8.20pm. Four men and woman were in the vehicle.
The court heard that due to court backlogs the earliest available date for the trial to be held was February 2028.
Judge Simon Ward adjourned the case. Jones, of St Vincent Crescent, was granted unconditional bail.
