Stolen vehicle recovered and arrests made by neighbourhood police officers across Sandwell

Neighbourhood policing officers have been kept busy across Sandwell, with arrests made and stolen vehicles recovered among the successes.

In the last week, Wednesbury officers made an arrest for possession of a bladed article and recall to prison and arrested a second man on recall to prison. 

The neighbourhood team also recovered a stolen vehicle which was found inside a locked unit.

Members of the Street Watch group joined some of the Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) for a Community Speed Watch operation on Perry Hill Road in Oldbury in response to residents’ concerns. 

They also conducted a Speed Watch on Fountain Lane and Broadwell Road with partner agencies.

Smethwick officers held a talk in conjunction with Benson Community Project to speak to young people about violent crimes and policing. 

The team also attended Shaping Smethwick’s Future workshop at West Smethwick Park Pavilion.
