The four men, aged between 18 and 22, and one boy aged 17, were detained during the warrants and arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine, following an extensive investigation into the supply of drugs in the West Midlands, Leicestershire, and Wiltshire.

They were also all arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following an assault in Leicester.

During the warrants, officers seized thousands of pounds in cash, weapons, and large quantities of crack cocaine and heroin.

Detective Inspector Mark Robinson, from WMP's County Lines Taskforce, said: “This enforcement activity was a result of our officers carrying out lengthy and complex enquiries, which are continuing.

“Our team is relentless in pursuing those suspected of involvement in county lines drug crime and ultimately this action should send a clear message to them.

“We will continue to tirelessly pursue them and aim to bring them to justice, seizing drugs, weapons, and cash to make the West Midlands a safer place.”
