Two men charged in Dudley amid probe into cars being cloned and stolen
Two men are set to appear in court after being charged with vehicle offences in Dudley.
Wayne Nicholls and Chad Wright will both appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 8 after being charged with vehicle offences following warrants carried out by teams from Dudley Police.
The warrants took place on Friday (August 8) at a number of addresses in Halesowen and Kingswinford and were in response to an investigation into cars being cloned, stolen, and given false MOT details.
Nicolls, 36, of Wesley Road in Pensnett, and Wright, 26, of Orchard Street in Brockmoor, were both charged with conspiring to steal motor vehicles.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Two men have been charged with vehicle offences following warrants carried out in Dudley.
"Officers from our Dudley Vehicle Crime Team, Priority Crime Team, and Operational Support Unit, joined forces on Friday, August 8 to target a number of addresses and business premises.
"Bashing down doors in areas including Halesowen and Kingswinford, the teams acted in response to a vehicle crime investigation into cars being cloned, stolen, and given false MOT details.
"Wayne Nicolls, 36, of Pensnett, has now been charged with conspiring to steal motor vehicles.
"Chad Wright, aged 26, of Brockmoor, has also been charged with conspiring to steal motor vehicles.
"Both men are due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 8."
