Motorbike theft suspect due in court after 20 vehicles stolen in Wolverhampton and Dudley

A man is set to appear in court next month charged with conspiracy to steal 20 vehicles in Wolverhampton and Dudley.

West Midlands Police said that Clive Halford had been arrested in Pendeford last week as part of an investigation into the theft of 27 vehicles, mainly motorbikes, between May and July across the region.

Halford, 30, of Crofters Walk in Wolverhampton, was was charged with conspiracy and appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on July 30.

He was remanded in custody to next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on August 27.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’ve charged a man with conspiracy to steal vehicles after more than 20 motorbikes were stolen in Wolverhampton, Dudley and South Staffordshire.

"Clive Halford was arrested from an address in Pendeford last week as part of an investigation into the theft of 27 vehicles, mainly motorbikes, between May 14 and July 8 this year.

"Halford, aged 30, was charged with conspiracy and appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on July 30 and remanded in custody to next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on August 27."
