Fresh appeal following fatal West Midlands collision which left one man dead and three people still in hospital

A new appeal has been launched by police in Birmingham for witnesses and dashcam footage of a fatal collision on the Stratford Road.

West Midlands Police have launched the appeal after a man died following a collision on Stratford Road in Birmingham on Friday.

The incident saw a black Audi and blue Vauxhall Meriva involved in a collision, along with a parked car, near the junction of Ladypool Road at around 11.50pm.

A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital but died, with West Midlands Police saying that thoughts and support were with his loved ones, while three other people remain in hospital with injuries.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are currently working to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

"We know there were members of the public who assisted people from the Meriva and we're keen to speak to them as soon as possible.

"We're also aware that some people captured footage in the aftermath of the collision and we'd ask for any material which may assist our investigation to be sent to us here: Public Portal (mipp.police.uk)
