Four children arrested in Lichfield after 13-year-old was threatened with knife

Four schoolboys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after another boy was threatened with a knife in Lichfield.

Officers said they were called to Stowe Street following reports of a robbery by suspects wearing balaclavas over their heads and one of them was carrying a knife at 5.25pm on Thursday(31).

When they arrived the alleged 13-year-old boy told them that he had been approached by a number of young people near Bulldog Lane who demanded that the victim hand over his phone.

Staffordshire Police said no-one was injured.

Following a number of inquiries the officers arrested four boys on Friday(1).

A 13-year-old boy, two 12-year-old boys and an 11-year-old boy, were each detained on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody while inquiries continue.
