Two men charged after firearm seized in Walsall
Two men were charged with drug and weapon charges following an arrest in Walsall.
Donovan Osbourne and Mohammed Jamaal Khurshid were both arrested after officers from West Midlands Police recovered a firearm on Caldmore Green on Thursday.
Osbourne, 39, of Caldmore Green, was charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and criminal damage, while Khurshid, 23, of Arundel Street in Walsall, was charged with possessing cannabis.
Osbourne was remanded in custody and was scheduled to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday, although no details are yet available of his appearance.
Khurshid was released on bail to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on August 19.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We've charged two men after a firearm was recovered on Caldmore Green in Walsall yesterday.
"Donovan Osbourne, aged 39, has been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and criminal damage.
"He was held in police custody overnight ahead of appearing at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Friday).
"It comes after firearms officers yesterday morning arrested two men and seized a weapon which has been confirmed as a blank firer.
"A second man, Mohammed Jamaal Khurshid, aged 23, has been charged with possessing cannabis.
"He's been released on bail to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on August 19."
