Four boys arrested on suspicion of robbery after 13-year-old threatened with knife in Lichfield
Four boys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after another boy was threatened with a knife in Lichfield.
Officers from Staffordshire Police were called at 5.25pm on Thursday to Stowe Street in Lichfield following reports of a robbery.
A 13-year-old boy reported that he had been approached by a number of young people near Bulldog Lane.
He said the suspects were dressed in balaclavas, with one of them reportedly carrying a knife, and demanded that the victim hand over his phone.
No one was reported injured and following a number of inquiries, officers arrested four boys earlier on Friday.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "A 13-year-old boy, two 12-year-old boys and an 11-year-old boy, were each detained on suspicion of robbery. They each remain in police custody while our inquiries continue.
