Fun-loving Louis Price's loved ones mourn 'beating heart of family' as murderer he loved is jailed
Louis Price was "the beating heart of his family" as a loving son, father, brother and uncle whose murder left "a devastating hole" in his loved ones' lives.
The father-of-six's parents and sister penned emotional victim impact statements which were read out at the sentencing of Kirsty Carless at Stafford Crown Court yesterday (July 31).
They described the Cannock 31-year-old as a fun-loving father who was looking for lasting love.
They attended the trial and watched as Carless lied about Louis and painted a picture of her victim as a violent bully who pushed her to murder. They were praised for their dignity by the trial judge Akhlaq Choudhury KC.
They watched as Carless, who was also known as Kirsty Cribb and lived in Telford until she was 15, was told she would have to serve 25 years before even being able to apply for parole.
His mother Eleanor admitted Louis was "no angel" but she was devastated he was now actually "her angel".
She said: "He was a lovely and beautiful man. He was so funny. He was the beating heart of our family.
"Kirsty Carless has ripped that from us. He was murdered by the woman he loved. I brought Louis into this world and I should have left before him.
