Man arrested in Oldbury on firearm and drugs charges - with help from police dog
A police dog has played a part in helping to detain a man arrested on suspicion of possessing firearms and drugs.
PD Snow helped officers in Oldbury to arrest the 18-year-old man on Broadwell Road, with a firearm, class A drugs and cash found during a search at 12.15pm yesterday (July 29).
West Midlands Police confirmed the man has been remanded in custody.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man has been arrested after we recovered a firearm and drugs in Oldbury.

"With the help of PD Snow, an 18-year-old man was detained on Broadwell Road at around 12.15pm yesterday afternoon.
"Following a search, we recovered a firearm, class A drugs and a quantity of cash.
"The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of firearm, possession of drugs with intent to supply and an unrelated assault.
"He has been remanded in custody for questioning."
