Staffordshire drug dealer jailed after police swoop uncovered £16,000 worth of cannabis and MDMA

A drug dealer from Stone who was caught with drugs worth more than £16,000 has been locked up.

Philip Baggley, aged 50 and of Stone, was caught with more than £16,000 in drugs and has been sentenced at Stafford Crown Court after admitting a string of offences.

He was arrested and charged after officers armed with warrants carried out co-ordinated swoops at nine separate addresses in the area as part of the anti-drug Operation Target led by the Staffordshire Police child exploitation team on October 3 last year.

After forcing entry to Baggley’s home, in Redhill Gardens, officers seized MDMA worth £340 and cannabis with a value of £15,685.

The defendant was sentenced to three years and two months in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply MDMA, possession with intent to supply cannabis and possessing criminal property.

The force said it followed its ongoing commitment to proactively target serious and organised crime across Staffordshire.

Through Operation Target officers have been pursuing criminals who plan, organise and commit serious offences including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
