Masked raider jailed for robbing Bloxwich travel agents but his accomplice 'remains a mystery man'

One of two masked robbers who raided a Bloxwich travel agents has been sent to prison whilst the identity of his cohort remains a mystery.

Paul Gallagher, 49, entered Co-op Travel Agents at 9.30am on Friday, October 28, 2022, with another man and threatened the lone female worker in the shop

They forced the terrified worker to open the safe before they made off with £11,200 in Sterling and foreign currency. 

Gallagher had been spotted casing out the travel agents in the run-up to the robbery by detectives who trawled through CCTV.

The pair made their getaway in his car using cloned number plates. However, the car's distinctive model gave police a lead which led to the arrest of Gallagher, of Abbeydale Road, Birmingham.
