Man and woman arrested after alleged burglary attempt at property in Oldbury

A man and a woman have been arrested after police were called to reports of people behaving in a suspicious manner at an address in Oldbury.

West Midlands Police said officers rushed to Arley Close just after 7.30pm on Thursday (July 24) in response.

The force stated: "We've arrested two people after rapidly responding to reports of a break-in attempt at a property in Sandwell. Officers were swiftly on the scene after being alerted to suspicious activity in Arley Close, Oldbury, at just after 7.30pm yesterday.

"A 46-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were arrested in the area shortly after on suspicion of attempted burglary. We also recovered heroin and the woman was further detained on suspicion of possession of class A drugs.

"They both remain in custody for questioning this morning."
