Unlicensed driver caught in Stafford 'wanted for immigration offences'
Staffordshire Police pulled over a driver suspected of driving without a license or insurance - but discovered they were wanted for 'immigration offences'.
Officers stopped the white vehicle in Doxey, Stafford yesterday morning (February 23) and reportedly found that the driver didn't have a license or insurance.
But a background check revealed that both the driver and their front seat passenger were wanted for immigration offences.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, StaffsRCT said: "Vehicle stopped this morning at #Doxey @PoliceStafford.
"Driver found to hold no licence or insurance. #seized @DriveInsured
"We then found the driver & front seat passenger to be wanted for Immigration offences.
"No where to hide @ukhomeoffice."
