Man arrested after woman, 72, suffers multiple stab wounds in the early hours of the morning
West Mercia Police is investigating the attempted murder of a 72 year old woman in Quay Street, Worcester, in the early hours of of Sunday morning.

The victim suffered multiple stab wounds shortly after 2am and has been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. She is in a critical condition.
A 56 year old man is in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.
Quay Street was blocked off by officers as a crime scene on Sunday morning.
