Tipton park attack jury begins deliberations
The jury in the trial of two Tipton men accused of killing a vulnerable man who died after being beaten up in a park has retired to consider its verdict.
Anthony Bird died in hospital after a “ferocious attack” in Victoria Park, Victoria Road, on July 26 last year.
The jury began deliberations on Monday afternoon.
Steven Bennett, 38, of Bevan Road, and Suni Gill, of Shore Road, both deny killing him and deny causing him grievous bodily harm with intent.
The trial continues.
