Two men arrested after stolen cars found at Dudley industrial estate
Two men have been arrested after a number of stolen cars were discovered.
Officers from West Midlands Police took a 29-year-old and a 20-year-old man into custody after recovering stolen cars from an industrial estate in Dudley.
The officers were on patrol in Station Drive at 4am on Monday, November 16, when they saw the two men acting suspiciously by a car.
A quick search showed the car as being stolen and the 29-year-old was detained at the scene, while the 20-year-old tried to run off, but was also arrested after a short foot chase, say police.
A search of a nearby industrial unit then found a further three stolen cars, along with vehicle parts which will be further examined, say officers.
The men have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and remain in custody for questioning.
West Midlands Police has urged members of the public to report garages or units they believe could be taking stolen vehicles and stripping them down for spare parts.
