Two people taken to hospital after motorcycle hits three cars

Two people were taken to hospital after motorcyclist crashed into three stationary cars in West Bromwich.

Emergency services were called to Clarkes Lane, near Phoenix Collegiate Academy, after a motorcyclist drove into the vehicles on the road.

An ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene to find debris on the road at around 1pm on Tuesday.

The driver of the motorcycle fled the scene, with the bike recovered by officers.

Two women suffered minor injuries but were taken to Sandwell Hospital as a precaution.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "A car had suffered rear end damage and the motorcycle had suffered front end damage.

"A woman in her 50s, a passenger, was assessed and taken to Sandwell hospital.

"A female in her 30s, the driver of said vehicle, was assessed, treated and taken to Sandwell Hospital.

"We did not treat the motorcyclist."

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The driver of the motorcycle fled the scene.

"The bike was recovered by officers and two women were taken to hospital with minor injuries."
