Two teenagers charged over Birmingham stabbing

Two teenagers have been charged over a stabbing in Birmingham city centre which left a man in a 'critical condition'.

A man in his 20s suffered serious injuries near Holliday Street just before 6am on Sunday.

The youths, both aged 17, have been charged with wounding, robbery and possessing a knife.

The pair are due at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today.

The victim, who has not yet been named, is in hospital in critical condition said West Midlands Police.

It comes after a 16-year-old boy who died after being stabbed outside Joseph Chamberlain College was named by police.

The teenager, who lived in Bordesley Green but is originally from Somalia, died on Friday night.
