Fresh appeal to catch Keelan Wilson's killer one week on from fatal stabbing
Police today asked for more information one week on from the murder of Wolverhampton teenager Keelan Wilson.
Officers will return to the Merry Hill area of the city tonight speak with potential witnesses as part of the investigation.
Keelan, 15, was stabbed to death just yards from his home on May 29.
Officers were in Strathfield Walk this evening to urge more people to come forward with potentially vital clues.
It comes as Detective Inspector Warren Hines said no arrests have been made.
But he said their investigation is 'progressing well'.
The former Castlefields Primary School and Highfields School pupil was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but was confirmed dead a short time later.
More coverage:
A post-mortem has confirmed Keelan died from stab wounds.
Police are carrying out CCTV trawls, have sent items for forensic testing and have already spoken to a number of people who have given information.
Posters were also being issued in the area.
They have also search land off Leasowes Drive as they widened their investigation in recent days.
Det Insp Hines, who is overseeing the murder probe, said: "We are speaking to lots of people in the area and building a fuller picture of what happened exactly one week ago.
"I would urge anyone who’s not yet spoken to us and who has information, however insignificant they think it might be, to do the right thing and speak to us.
"We are determined to catch whoever is responsible for the death of young Keelan and are keeping his parents fully updated with developments."
Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
