The 19-year-old man suffered serious injuries when trouble broke out among the crowd gathered at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday night.

He had been in a critical condition following the attack.

But West Midlands Police confirmed this evening that he has died.

The force said a murder inquiry had been launched.

A number of other people were injured in the violence at the end of the BCB Presents The World Awaits event.

It is thought that the teenager had been injured with a weapon.

Mobile phone footage captures chairs and tables being hauled through the air during disorder between people in the crowd.
